EDITING A WRITER'S BABY IS AN HONOR AND A PRIVILEGE. I STRIVE TO BE HONEST IN MY CRITIQUING, BUT KIND, AS WELL.
Breaking my right wrist, when I tumbled Jack-and-Jill style off the slope in our back yard while planting flowers, took a toll on my writing. The entire process - breaking the wrist, cast, rebreaking the bone, physical therapy, surgery, cast, more physical therapy - took about a year out of my writing schedule.
During that time, I discovered my love for editing. That was the beginning of the idea to form my own freelance editing service.

Thought of the Day
“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.”
― Washington Irving
“Nobody can bring you peace but yourself.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
“We write for the same reason that we walk, talk, climb mountains or swim the oceans - because we can. We have some impulse within us that makes us want to explain ourselves to other human beings. That's why we paint, that's why we dare to love someone - because we have the impulse to explain who we are.”
― Maya Angelou
